We gathered together some of the questions that we get asked a lot, as well as our usual answers. If you can’t see what you need here just give us a call, in fact give us a call anyway, we love talking bikes!

Do you collect bikes for free?

Yes, we collect bikes from customers that are taking any of our service packages (Bronze, Silver or Gold) as well as from our suspension service customers. If you need a small service, such as a puncture repair or pedal replacement we would either do this where you are, or add a small collection charge to your final price if you need us to take the bike away. Outside of our 12 mile radius we will call you to agree a charge for the additional mileage.

Do you just replace stuff which is broken or worn?

We will always let you know, usually when we collect or receive your bike, what we think needs to be replaced and what that will cost. Certain items can be serviced, certain items need to be replaced when worn, we will run through this with you as applicable.

How long will you have my bike?

We work to our customers’ schedules, so if you need to drop your bike off on the way in to work and collect it on the way home, we can get that done for you. Sometimes we need to wait for parts to be delivered so we’ll need your bike for a day or two. Often customers ask if they can leave their bikes with us for a week or more due to holidays etc, this is fine as we have a very large workshop space with plenty of room for lots of bikes.

My fork / shock feels bad, can you tune it or will a service fix it?

We do offer tuning through a variety of methods however we always urge caution before proceeding with a tune when a service will often resolve the issues that you are experiencing. Give us a call and we will happily discuss what it is that you are experiencing with the shock or fork and then come up with the best solution to get things sorted.

Do I need to take my forks / shock off my bike or can I just bring the whole bike in?

Feel free to bring the whole bike in and we’ll strip your fork or shock off in preparation for the service. This is actually a great opportunity for customers to enjoy our offer of 30% off bike servicing whilst having a fork or shock service.

I normally send my forks / shock off for service, will it be quicker with you?

Short answer, yes, it will. Whilst all suspension service centres get busier periods, these tend to occur around the same time for everyone, so even when we are busy you will still be saving yourself at least 2 days by avoiding posting. Not to mention the fact that you will save significant amounts of cash by using us compared to the mail away services that bike shops use.

What guarantees do you offer?

All of our workmanship, be it bike servicing or suspension servicing, is guaranteed for 3 months. That means that you can rely on us to take care of you if required.

We are trained to the highest standards in bicycle repair, wheel building and suspension servicing so it’s quite rare that we are ever called on to put work right, however parts themselves can fail occasionally. We only use original parts for fork and shock services as well as for our bike servicing, so these parts come with their own warranties and we can ensure that everything is replaced, free of charge, should this ever occur.

Do you sell parts and accessories?

Yes, we sell all sorts of things from a huge range of manufacturers including Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, Rockshox, Fox Racing Shox, Cane Creek and loads more. We don’t keep everything in stock but we can get everything in stock within 24 hours and we do offer excellent prices and after sales support. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Do you price match the internet?

We try to price match the internet retailers where we can, however we usually need to charge a little bit more because a) we will give you our advice and time for free, b) we are not a multi-million pound website sourcing grey imports from Europe & c) we will generally install your stuff for free and offer a solid, local warranty that means you won’t have to post your stuff back ‘to the internet’, and we have coffee and sofas that you can sit on.
